A blend of equal parts Merlot and Sangiovese, the 2000 Siepi boasts a stunningly opaque purple color as well as gorgeous aromas of blueberries, espresso, and cocoa. Full-bodied, opulently-textured, and extremely rich, with moderate tannin in the long, heady, concentrated finish, this provocative 2000 may be even better than the 1999, which was terrific.
