From Chateau Lafite Rothschild come Anseillan Pauillac
The Anseillan wine is made by the Lafite teams in the Lafite winery and cellars, and with the same love and passion. Although its production varies from one vintage to the other, its quality is consistent. Beautiful colour, very young. Rich, intense and expressive nose, very characteristic of the vintage with its ripe and fresh notes. On the palate, the wine continues along the same lines: its attack is dense while remaining lively, it is powerful while being light. Already melted, the tannins are present and stretch the palate with length. Optimum in 2024-2030.
93 Points Decanter –聽Dark chocolate and floral notes on the nose. This has an appealing density on the palate, lovely weight, with a sculpted feel to the softly chewy tannins and dark fruit. Less immediately lively, bright and accessible than the 2018 but still stylish with a sense of character. Cool blue fruits meld with mint, liquorice, flint and touches of toast. A blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in ex-Lafite barrels as well as stainless steel and cement vats.
